Granny's Patchwork of Love❤️

"Your Grandmother would've been proud of you, if she were here today"

This is something I often hear from my family and relatives. She passed away when I was in Grade 8 and I miss her more as I grow older because now I understand what values she imbibed in me

My Grandma was a Social Science teacher and a Principal in a Government School, and my source of inspiration & guidance. She was an angel in disguise who taught me how to care. She was a spiritual person who believed in God and treated everyone with love and respect.

She always said "You never know when you are interacting with an angel, so be kind and generous always".

Since she passed, all I have is her fond memories, her valuable lessons & our laughs and giggles.

One particular thing she asked me to take as an advice as an oxigen canister in this fast spreading virus borne world.

That was -"Don’t ever let your ice cream melt while you’re counting someone else’s sprinkles.”

I have been thinking about it quite for long . It is easy to get caught up in what other’s have that we do not – that car, that house, those shoes, that job. Sometimes we look to our peers’ and colleagues’ abilities and think we are lacking. What do I know?! I don’t have the skills to do XYZ!

And let me admit, I feel that way too at times. And especially when I looked at my peers having a very organized and well planned life and career laid out in front of them, and I didn't.

Because from the very beginning I had been a person who enjoyed simple pleasures that life had to offer, and face life as it showed up. It's now that I have a work life schedule and am settled that I realised that it doesn't really matter if we have a life plan or not. Because sometimes we are blessed with things when we are least expecting them.

I reflected on my own skills and abilities each day, realising that the starting point to effect change in world may be realising that we have something to offer it. Our existence does matter. We are worth it.

So, Rejoice in your own blessings 💕. Be grateful for all that God has blessed you with.

There are times when we see other people happy & successful, but then, What I’ve come to realize is that life is hard for everyone, no matter how great it may appear here. ❤️

How about we look at other peoples celebrations, victories, moments, and see them as examples of people who in spite of life’s challenges are able to find rays of light 🌟 in their current situation.

And then, take that encouragement and do the same with our own sprinkles! 🙌🏻

Hope grins on the doorway of 2022♥️

The chilly winds on my face, the little mist in the air, red nose, cold hands, mom screaming take care oh, with December, the year comes to an end,  some tears some smiles, and i made one new friend.  The end of this year full of ambiguities is near, bringing the time to reflect what we reared in the whole long year, other than lament and fear. A time to reflect which do's and don'ts crossed our lines & which relations grew fine. What was learnt and what was taught. What was new and what felt like draught,  What engrossed within our hearts & what disappeared fast. What made us grateful & kind, What was love when cherished from distance, What was mirth when tried to express, What was gained and what was lost.  Was all a part of the year just going to pass. Falling again and again with consistency, Then bringing my life into existence, I learned that this world is here to tear you, Are you enough strong to create your own space, Only then, you can embrace,

Do Your Best For People, Not Your Worst✨

We often look at the speck of sawdust in other’s eyes, don't we? But do we really pay attention to the plank in your own eye? Well, not really! Why is it that as humans we often look for flaws in others? We often make quick judgements about someone's behaviour, & It's only later we experience an internal shake when we find out the real story Well, Everyone is fighting some kind of a battle and frankly we don't even have a clue what most people we encounter on a daily basis are going through. Sometimes the inner battles people fight, they just feel lost for a while, People come with all their taunts, they judge all the while, The seconds spent on judging others could be instead spent on loving them❤️ Why is it as humans that we have filled our lives with so much ‘stuff’ to keep us busy that we don’t have time to slow down and simply ask someone if they are ok? While we all go on personal journeys,we also must recognize that everyo

Yes, You are Beautiful ♥️

To those who feel they are not beautiful, Let me start with the brutal truth. Looks do matter. There are millions of people who will always judge you by your appearance. So if you talk about these millions of people, then you are not beautiful, in their eyes. I won't give you this fake hope that your inner beauty will dazzle them, and they will forget about your looks. No., you will never be beautiful for them, So that's the harsh truth. I'll give you an instance from my life, The first time someone commented on me regarding my simple dressing and thick glasses was at my cousin's wedding. And I was okay with it, I thought this is just the way people behave at social events, they comment on other people's dressing, and other people's laughter, someone's face, someone's height, weight, etc. Even if it is at the expense of someone's self worth. And with time, I myself started believing that there must be something wrong with the way I conduc
